This Spring we are celebrating the language and symbolism of flowers which are beginning to bloom again after another long winter. A perfect gift for the botanical enthusiasts in your life, each detailed floral illustration has been hand painted by Carol in the London studio.
The lily of the valley was one of the British flowers featured in the coronation bouquet Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. It holds a wealth of meaning, including serenity, youth and remembrance. Also known as the May Lily, according to pagan legend, this delicate bunch has been associated with the purity of the goddess Ostara, who shares an etymological link with the Christian celebration of Easter.
